Quite often we find people will book an island resort in the Mamanuca Islands and don't realise how to get there, as most resorts don't include transfers. Where most people get stuck is they don't realise most of the ferry boats only operate 1 to 3 times per day out to the island resorts. What do you do if your flight arrives after the last scheduled ferry has left at 3.15pm? Well you can always fly, which is expensive, otherwise you'll have to book your own private charter boat that will taxi you out. The other alternative is spending extra cash on a hotel in Nadi for the night. Of course you'll loose your already booked and paid for night on your tropical island paradise this way. We went down to check out the Mamanuca Express as they offer a fantastic 24 hour, fast water taxi service out to the islands. We got a tour of all the boats and their team, we came away very impressed by everything we saw. The boats are fast, new, can cater from 1 up to 33 passengers and conveniently located right at Denarau marina.
We also sighted their insurance policy and all is in perfect order there too. Very professional local company to deal with.
Bounty, Beachcomber, Treasure, Castaway, Likuliku, Mana, Malolo, Lomani, Plantation, Musket Cove, Matamanoa, Sheraton Tokoriki, Tadrai, Tokoriki Island, Tropica and Vomo.
All the Mamanuca Express boats are available for private half or full day charters. Go island hopping or fishing or both at the same time. If you're a pro fisherman than you'll probable want a more expert company who only deal with fishing, but for mucking around and island hopping, these guys will do a great job. Check out our Boat Charters page for more details.
